The Gordon policies

We will coordinate your key pick up before arrival as well.

We are updating our locks to a more convenient and modern set up, but for now, we are using good old-fashioned keys. Thanks for understanding! 

Check-out Time:
10:30 am

Late check-out is also offered on availability and must be set up ahead of check out date.  Depending on availability and the requested check out time, a fee may be charged. 

To check out during normal business hours, you can leave your key at the front desk or feel free to leave it in your room in an easy to find location. Failure to leave you key behind may incur a fee. 

 

  • Cancellations:   

  • If cancelled within 8 days of arrival, there is no charge. 

  • If cancelled within 7 days of arrival, but before the eve of check in, you will be charged 50% of your total stay. 

  • If cancelled within 1 day of arrival, you will be charged for your full stay.  

By booking with us, you commit to these parameters. If an unforeseen emergency occurs, please contact us during regular business hours and we will do our best to accommodate or switch your booking dates.

  • Age Requirements: Guests must be at least 18 years old of age to check in at The Gordon. In the interest of security and to prevent fraud, guests are required to confirm their identity by providing a valid credit card in the name the room is registered under. It is your responsibility to fully understand the way your bank processes authorizations.  

Well behaved children of all ages are welcome at the Gordon. We are a family friendly motel. Children under 12 must have an adult staying in the room with them. As a parent, guardian, or chaperone of children, you are personally and legally responsible for and must always supervise them. For safety reasons please do not leave children unattended in guest rooms or allow them to roam the motel property unsupervised. Each guest over 18 years of age is responsible for themselves and by reserving a room with The Gordon takes on personal and legal responsibilities. The Gordon is not responsible for injury or loss of items.  

 

  • Maximum Occupancy: Room Occupancy requirements are based on code/fire safety restrictions. All of our Standard Queen Rooms have a maximum occupancy of 4 guests. If you are found to exceed that amount, you will be asked to rent another room (if we have one available) or vacate the motel. 

  • Room Keys: Room Keys are issued to the registered guest(s). No room key will be issued to youth under 18 at any time. I.D. is required if you have lost your key and require duplicate. Please return your key to the front desk during normal business hours or leave it in an easy to spot location in your room. A lost key fee of $10 (this amount includes the key replacement and a convenience fee) will be charged for any keys are that not returned during check out.  

 

  • Quiet Hours are between the hours of 10:00 pm and 9:00 am If you become aware of a disruptive guest, please let us know immediately.  

While we are conveniently located along the historic Highway 7 in downtown Jasper, Arkansas it can be a bit noisy, especially during peak travel times. We recommend ear plugs or a sound machine. If you need ear plugs, contact the front office between our normal business hours of 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

    

  • Pet Policies: At this point we do not allow pets unless they are a service animal, as defined by the ADA. Pets used and certified as Emotional Support Animals are not covered under the ADA. Meaning pets are only allowed if they are certified and individually trained to do work or preform a task for a person with a disability. If you caught sneaking in an unregistered pet a fine will be charged to your card. 

  • 100% Smoke Free: The Gordon is 100% smoke free in rooms. If there is proof of smoking in a room, either during or after your stay a deep cleaning fee of $200 will be charged to your card. We also do not allow the use of any illegal drugs on our premises. 

  • Cooking: The safety of our guests, staff, and this facility is extremely important to us. Preparing food by any type of cooking appliance other an what The Gordon provides is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to hot plates, rice cookers, microwaves, toaster ovens, water heaters, open flames, or any other item intended for cooking. Open fires, flames or cooking grills, either propane or gas, need to get prior approval before use. 

  • Refrigerator: If a refrigerator is required for medical use, contact the front desk before arrival to make arrangements.  

  • Housekeeping and Linen Changing: House keeping is available daily from 9 am – 3 pm. Rooms are cleaned during stays by request only. Set this up with your front desk to schedule. Guests staying for multiple days can schedule to get their bed linens changed and used towels are exchanged for fresh towels. If you have any additional questions, concerns, or needs please contact your front desk.  

  • Lost and Found Policy: The Gordon assumes no liability for lost or misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. If you discover that you have left behind something of value to you, please call us immediately (870) 446-5252 and we will do our best to assist you in locating your lost item. You assume responsibility for any shipping fees of your lost or misplaced items. 

Found Items: The Gordon is not responsible for any item left behind by a guest. However, any item, with the exception of perishable items left behind by our guest and found after departure will be collected, logged in, and kept in a secure location for up to 14 days. Reasonable effort will be made to notify the guest that an item has been found. Perishable items, underwear, and miscellaneous toiletries will be discarded. 

If we are unable to contact you, after the 14 days of holding your items, they will be thrown away, given to a local charity, or disposed of accordingly.

 

  • Firearms and Weapons: The safety and security of our guests and staff is extremely important to us. Our Firearm and Weapons Policy is designed for the protection of our guests, vendors, staff, and owners. The Gordon acknowledges that guests and vendors may legally possess firearms or weapons for a variety of legitimate purposes. This policy has been developed to create a safe environment by providing appropriate guidance. Guests who are lawfully permitted to possess a firearm or weapon may bring them onto our motel premises for storage purposes only, with the understanding that they are personally responsible for the following: 

Guests must abide by all Federal, State, and Local Laws. 

Firearms and weapons must be appropriately registered. 

No cleaning of firearms is permitted on motel premises. 

Firearms and weapons must be safeguarded and secured in either a locked hard sided firearm case or soft gun case and clearly provide the guests name and contact information. 

No firearms or weapons in the motel office. 

Guests or vendors who fail to follow our policies may be asked to leave the motel premises, are subject to trespass and may be subject to further legal action. Exempted from this policy are law enforcement officers and designated military personnel who are on-duty and required to carry their firearms for the performance of their duties. No exemptions to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm openly or concealed under local, state, or federal law, are exempt from this policy. It is our policy to promptly turn in any firearms left on the property, to the Jasper Police Department, if we are unable to contact the owner. Any questions or how to properly follow our policies can be addressed to our front desk. 

 

  • Right to Refuse Service: The Gordon is privately owned and operated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason(s) that do not violate Federal or State laws. We reserve the right to refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodations in our motel or may remove a person, without refund, who refuses to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by the State of Arkansas and the owners and operators as well as our management team.
